The Santa story.

The Santa story.

Once upon a time in the kingdom of Vedrose, the season of Christmas was celebrated with great pomp but suddenly it came to a stop and from thereon it spread to the whole world. Instead of Joy there was wickedness during the season of Christmas. How did it happen????
Was Christmas ever celebrated again???
Let’s find out in this story.

In the kingdom of Vedrose, Christmas was once upon a time celebrated with great gusto and pomp. People distributed sweets; there were lights, candles and stars all over the place. The people were all united and were always found laughing as if sorrow never existed in the kingdom. Once a witch came to this kingdom during the season of Christmas and couldn’t bear the smiles and joy on the faces of the people so she secretly plotted to destroy the peace in the kingdom. She tried a spell on one person but it didn’t affect him. The person just went on happily as if nothing happened. Seeing this the witch was infuriated. She tried the spell on others too but to her surprise it had no effect on anyone. This made her even angrier. She wondered why her spell didn’t work. She took refuge in a nearby mountain cave.
The next day was Christmas day. At mid-night the witch saw a spark of light moving at a very high speed. She took her flying broom and went to see what it was. It was Santa giving away gifts. The next day when the people awoke and opened the gifts the spell of joy cast by Santa affected them on the gift was a pinch of love, joy and peace and inside a gift. And hence people loved the season of Christmas. When the witch saw this she understood that it was Santa’s spell that made all the people joyous and the effect of the spell lasted for a whole year therefore the people looked happy throughout year. So the witch planned to break Santa's joyous spell and cast her wicked spell on the gifts the following year. The whole year the witch saw the happy smiling faces of people and grew even angrier. Finally it was the eve of Christmas the witch seemed to look happy because finally the day had arrived. And right at mid-night she saw Santa flying so she followed him and as he dropped each gift the witch cast her wicked spell. This went on till the last gift was dropped. The next morning as people woke up, the wicked spell on the gifts affected them. Seeing this the witch she grew happier. It was Christmas but there was no joy and all the people seemed to be cranky and violent, and ultimately all the gifts of Santa were burnt.
In Santa’s palace, Santa got the news that in the kingdom of Vedrose all his gifts were burnt but he couldn't find the reason why it was done.

In the meanwhile, the people of Vedrose had also become the slaves of the wicked witch. The witch was planning to spread her wicked spell all over the world. But for this she had to wait for a whole year. Santa did not pay much attention to the kingdom of Vedrose. He didn’t know what a disaster was about to take place. He was busy as usual planning for the next Christmas.

A shepherd boy whose name was Clato came to know about the wicked plan of the witch as he used to stay on the same mountain where the witch lived. The boy had seen the change in the kingdom but wasn’t affected because the witch’s spell was not cast on his gift. Clato had overheard the plans of the witch of cursing the whole world and taking over Santa’s palace when she was telling her cousin witch. Clato was now concerned about all the people because if the witch succeeded Christmas would never be celebrated anymore.

So as the witch had planned, Santa's palace was overtaken and Santa was imprisoned, and wickedness spread over the whole world. Santa was heart broken but his Joy watch showed him that one person had not turned wicked. Santa some how escaped and went in search of the one person who had not been under the spell of the witch. When Clato saw Santa at a distance he ran and brought him to his home and treated him well. Clato told Santa that the only way to reverse the spell of the witch was to wait until the following Christmas and cast the Joy spell on the gifts just before their being distributed. The big problem that Santa faced was recovering the Joy spell which was in his palace. The only option was to risk entering the palace and getting the Joy spell. The task wasn’t very difficult for Santa because he knew a lot of secret entrances to his palace which the witch didn’t know. Santa and Clato planned to recover the Joy spell and save the world. Finally it was the eve of Christmas, Santa and Clato almost reached the palace; it was guarded but Santa knowing the secret entrance had no problem of tackling the guards.
As they entered the palace they saw the gifts being prepared and the witch putting on the wicked spell. Santa and Clato went to the place where the Joy spell powder was stored. Santa put the powder in his bag and went to the place where his old sleigh was. As it struck mid-night the witch prepared herself and left the palace. Santa and Clato followed her and as she left each gift Santa put his Joy spell on each gift. Everything was finished before dawn. As the morning sun rose the people opened their gifts and they were joyous again, the spell had worked! The witch heard some sweet music from the nearby kingdom and went to find out who had put the music; to her surprise the people were joyous and she was furious. She knew that only one person could have possibly done it and that was Santa. The witch came to know that Santa was hiding in the palace itself. She told the guards to find Santa and bring him to her. Santa knowing the guards were searching for him threw sleeping powder on them. The witch herself came in search of Santa. Meanwhile, Santa hid Clato so that the witch might not hurt him. Finally Santa and the witch were face to face. Santa seemed to smile but the witch was very angry. She used her wand and said some magic words and sent a kind of a ball on Santa, but he dodged it. Santa used his wand to defend himself from the witches spells.
Finally the witch hit him and Santa lay down on the ground. All of this was seen by Clato. He saw a magical ball roll down the hand of Santa, he got the ball and just as the witch was about to kill Santa, he threw the ball on the witch and it hit her right on the heart. At first, the witch tried to stand her ground but couldn’t and finally collapsed and died.
Clato ran to Santa. It looked like Santa was breathing his last. Santa told Clato to take him to his room. Clato helped Santa to his room and made him sit on his chair. Santa asked Clato whether he would become the next Santa. Clato put his head down and didn’t answer. Santa said ‘Please’. Clato reluctantly said ‘Yes’. Santa wore a smile on his face as he heard the “yes” of Clato. Santa removed his wand from his coat and gave it to Clato and said, “this wand will help you and will teach you everything.” As soon as Clato took the wand in his hands Santa disappeared. Clato found that he was alone in the palace and began to cry. But suddenly he heard a voice saying “hello”. He looked around the whole room but could not see anyone. Then he saw the wand, it was talking. The wand continued, “you are the new Santa, let’s get started because there’s a lot of work to be done.”
The wand taught Clato all the things that needed to be done. Soon it was time for Christmas. Clato the new Santa was ready now with his gifts and the Joy spell over them.
From then on the whole world was joyful.

Jesus is Joy let not the wicked spoil the Joy in us. Let’s live in the Joy of Christ. May his Joy be with us forever.

A poem on the Joyful mysteries

A poem on the Joyful mysteries

“Hail Full of Grace”
Were the greetings of the Angel,
You were confused with this message,
And yet you had the boldness to ‘Yes’.

“Mother of God”
Were the greetings by Elizabeth.
You went to serve her,
Even though you knew that you would be the mother of God

The Saviour was born of you,
In a humble stable.
Many came to worship him,
What an honour it was!

“A sword will pierce through your soul”
Were the words of Simeon the holy man.
At the moment of presentation,
And you pondered over it.

“Didn't You’ll know that I shall be in my Father’s house”
How painful those words might have been to you,
But you were patient with Jesus ,

And you surely would have guided and protected Him.

JUST FOR HIS POOR LITTLE BOYS

JUST FOR HIS POOR LITTLE BOYS

In this crowd of people,
Lies a vibrant smile.
Taking boys he moves,
He’s 27 and boys 9, 10, 11… of age.
On the dusty roads,
To find a place,
Just for his poor little boys.

People call him mad,
As he runs like a fool with his boys,
He dances and plays with them.
He goes begging from place to place,
Walking an extra mile,
Bearing every burden he can,
Just for his poor little boys.

Nothing could stop him,
He believes he has the heavenly mother with him.
He gives in his 100%,
Health is not a concern for him,
It’s his passion,
Just for his poor little boys.

Looking at this personality,
I ask myself a question,
Can I also be crazy like this man?
Who worked till his end?

Just for his poor little boys.

THE GIFT TO HUMANITY.

THE GIFT TO HUMANITY.

God gave me a GIFT
To my surprise,
This GIFT accepted me in itself
As a GIFT to it.

This GIFT gifted me gifts everyday,
Air, Water, Sunlight; what marvelous gifts
This went on for days, months and years
Every day’s gifts made me feel that it was the duty of the GIFT.

The GIFT was aging and deteriorating,
By my wants and pleasures
Even so, the GIFT did not stop gifting to me,
I didn’t care and thought only of myself.

The GIFT was almost at its end,
Finally I realized, Oh! What a mistake I’ve made,
Now the GIFT has aged but it’s growing
It’s only the realization that made me aware
The GIFT seems to smile as it grows,

So do I even though I am old.
